VOLUNTEERING AND STUDENTS

Centre York Centre is continuously looking for volunteers and students! The Student placement/Volunteer Supervising Workers perform many different tasks. Some of the various duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing supervision of visits and Exchanges.

  • Documenting by keeping accurate neutral observation notes and completes all forms.

  • Ensuring the safety of all participants of the Program by following and enforcing the Guidelines and Procedures of the Centre.

  • Assisting with administrative tasks.

  • All volunteers are required to complete Supervised Parenting Time Program training specific to the service as well as training on objectivity and neutrality, domestic violence, addictions, legal knowledge.

We welcome students for practicum placements that are, at least in their second year of studies in a social work program. Centre York Centre also hires students from the Canada Summer Jobs program annually. Please contact us for more information.
