SERVICES | REQUIREMENTS

Families can use Centre York Centre if they have a Court Order, Minutes of Settlement, Mediation Agreement, Mutual Agreement between both parties or Endorsement for supervised visits and exchanges. Referrals are accepted from lawyers, mediators and the Courts.

*New protocols have been put in place in alignment with the COVID-19 pandemic which will be explained during the intake process.*

SUPERVISED VISITS:
A supervised visit takes place at the Centre under the constant supervision of a supervising worker. Staggered drop-off and pick-up times are in place so that contact between the parent the child resides with and visiting parent does not occur. Length and frequency of visits are set out in the Court Order or the Mutual Agreement and are usually no longer than 2 hours at a time.

MONITORED EXCHANGES:
A monitored exchange is when the child(ren) is/are dropped off by one party and picked up by the other party. The Centre provides a place where the child(ren) can go from one parent to the other safely. Staggered drop-off and pick-up times are in place so that contact between the parent the child resides with and visiting parent does not occur.
